Learn how to plan and prepare nutritious meals during Cooking with Kids. Explore kingdoms, princesses and princes, and outdoor fun during Sunny Days. Come "kick it old school" with Family VBS, new this year at St. Peter’s!

SUMMER at St. Peter's, Where Kids Stand Strong for God!
No matter what happens, what people do, how you feel, where you are, or who you are: learn through God's word to Trust in HIM!
Learn Bible stories through reenacting them in realistic scenes. Praise God with song and dance and hands-on science to remember our theme of the day. Come to our Kingdom and rock through the summer!
Put on the Armor of God! Ephesians 6:10-11
Family and friends are invited to join us on Friday to celebrate the week at our Kingdom Rock Concert, an interactive musical show that allows children to share what they have learned at VBS. Come join in the Sing and Praise!
Cooking with Kids
June 24 - 28
9 a.m. - noon, ages 4 & 5, K(as of 3/1/2013)
1 p.m. - 4 p.m., 1st - 6th grade

“Kids Classics I Can Do Myself”
Ages 4, 5, Kindergarten 9 a.m. – noon
Morning classes will be learning some of the old favorites like “Mac and Cheese” and “Personal Pizzas." Children will paint aprons and potholders, make kitchen crafts and make a cook book for future cooking at home. They will practice setting the table, good etiquette, prayers, and kitchen safety. On Friday they will host a family party in their classrooms.
"Cooking Up a Storm; A Kid's Survival Guide”
Ages 1st - 5th grade 1 - 4 p.m.
The afternoon classes will prepare healthy, fun recipes they can use for after school, friend sleepovers, school lunch alternatives and family meals in the Cooking Laboratory. In the art class, they will design the cover of a personal cook and reference book, paint an apron, and make other cooking and eating crafts for future use. In the classroom, students will assemble their book, write table prayers, and learn about nutrition, menu planning, equipment and cooking terms.
Some recipes will contain allergens.
Families will be invited to a party on Friday for students to show off their culinary skills and share their week with a slide show.

Preschool children have the opportunity to explore amazing adventures during two different weeks of Sunny Days. Your little campers will experience fun hands-on activities such as crafts, movement, snacks, chapel, stories, special events and more! Children will bring their own lunches each day.
Week I: Storybook Kingdoms
July 8 - 12
Once upon a time the little princes and princesses entered the enchanted Kingdom of Sunny Days to visit favorites like the “Princess and the Pea" and the “Prince of Peace."
Week II: Outdoor Fun
July 15 - 19
Come join the adventures as we visit God’s World through the eyes of a preschooler. The little explorers will experience in-house bird-watching, fishing, camping and learning about many of Earth's animals.

Family VBS
July 28 - July 30
6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Ages 3 years - 5th grade (3 years by 3/1/2013)
$45 registration fee (for up to 6 immediate family members)

In a world constantly searching for “the next big thing,” St. Peter’s UMC invites you to Kick It Old School with a retro 80s themed Family Vacation Bible School. This brand new addition to the Summer Ministries line-up will offer entertaining evening programming from 6-8:30 p.m. beginning Sunday, July 28, and ending Tuesday, July 30. At least one parent must register and attend with their child(ren). Families will eat a light dinner together, receive a biblically-based message, learn fun music and more. Kick It Old School will prove that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8!
