I'M NEW

Welcome to St. Peter's!

As we navigate through this time of Covid-19, there are still many opportunities to get you plugged into the life of the church. Traditional and Contemporary worship services are livestreamed every Sunday on our YouTube channel and our Facebook venue pages. In-person worship has begun again in the Traditional, The Element, West Campus, Courage, and Korean venues. Click below for more information and the in-person worship guidelines so we can make your worship time as safe as possible.

Our Adult Sunday Schools and Life Groups meet through Zoom, and we are also offering opportunities to serve the community for those who are able to help! Our Children and Student Ministries meet in-person, as well as off-campus for different events. We hope St.Peter’s will become part of your family! For more information, please send an email to info@stpkaty.org or click below.

BAPTISM

Through the Sacrament of Baptism, we are initiated into Christ’s holy church and believe that in baptism God initiates a covenant with us. We baptize by sprinkling water on the head. We would love to baptize you or your children. Please click and fill out the form and we will contact you soon to put you on our schedule and to answer any questions you may have.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all-powerful and all-loving and seeks to be in relationship with us.

We believe in the mystery of salvation through the gift of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. This gift is available to all persons. God became human in Jesus of Nazareth; and his life, death, and resurrection demonstrates God's redeeming love.

We believe the Holy Spirit is God's present activity in our midst. When we sense God's leading, God's challenge, or God's support or comfort, it's the Holy Spirit at work.

We believe that all people are made in the image of the Creator. Like God we have the capacity to love and care, to communicate, and to create.

We believe the church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ’s life and ministry in the world today.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the primary authority for our faith and practice.

We believe that in baptism, we experience a direct encounter with the presence of God in three significant ways: through grace, through relationship, and through the faith community.

We believe that Holy Communion, the Lord’s Supper, is a means of grace in which we offer ourselves to God in praise and thanksgiving through the receiving of the bread and cup. We believe that the Communion table is the Lord’s table, and therefore all are invited to participate.

GO out into the community and the world to serve and share God’s love with others.

GIVE of our financial resources and time as a spiritual discipline and in response to God’s generosity to us.
