Katy Community Thanksgiving Feast

Nov. 28, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Katy First Baptist Church

600 Pin Oak Rd., Katy, TX 77494

Every year, St. Peter's joins with several local churches and ministries to host a free Thanksgiving meal for people in our community. Following are some ways you can help serve this year.

We will be collecting coats/jackets (new please), non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, beans),  and blankets in the lobbies of the Kingsland and West Campuses through November 25.

Preparing Food

Preparing food for the feast is done by the congregations involved. This year, St. Peter’s has been asked to supply the cooked corn. You do not need to sign up to make this. Just pick up a pan and instructions in the lobbies of the Kingsland and West Campuses on Nov. 17 and 24. The pans of corn will need to be delivered to Katy’s First Baptist Church on Thanksgiving Day in the morning.

You can serve in many ways. Be a food runner, a food server, man the donation table, be a greeter (bilingual is an asset), or sign up to set-up or take-down. We have spots available for prayer teams, as well. Volunteer spots fill up fast, and they're on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations help with purchase of supplies and turkeys. Please make your check out to Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, with notation of 2019 Katy Community Thanksgiving Feast in the memo section. Please mail all checks to Holy Covenant UMC at 22111 Morton Ranch Road Katy, TX  77449. (Not Katy First Baptist.)
