KEYS Newman's Castle & Phenix Knives

Please join us for medieval fun at the Newman’s Castle and Phenix Knives in Bellville, TX on Thursday, March 20th. The bus will leave the Kingsland Campus at 9:30am and return around 4:30pm. The castle features a moat, a massive working 3,000 lb. drawbridge, a chapel, turrets, a courtyard, and a dramatic view. After a light lunch and walkaround of the castle we will head to Phenix knives. There the owner will demonstrate his blacksmithing skills and share the traditions, history and science of the craft. Check out handmade swords, knives, and other metal work. The fee for both tours and light lunch is $38.
