Our Purpose

Open Hearts is a ministry where LGBTQ+ persons, families, and allies can find support, ask questions, grow in faith, and feel fully embraced.

We believe no one is outside the reach of God’s love.

We gather to share stories, study scripture, and live into our call to love as Jesus loves – Sacrificially, radically, and without condition

Our Vision

Because we all know ourselves as saved by the grace and love of God in Christ, not by our own works or will, we refuse to sit in judgement of others. We embrace our LGBTQ+ Brothers and sisters as full participants in the life and ministry of the church. We are called to open safe space where any who seek communion in Christ might find it. In Christ we simply look to others that they may also experience love, acceptance, and healing, absent of human judgements tainted by cultural values of the moment.

“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 
This is the greatest and first commandment.
And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
