Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who provide confidential, one-to-one care to people experiencing grief, divorce, infertility, loneliness, job loss, hospitalization, loss of a loved one, or any other life difficulties.
The Stephen Ministers of St. Peter's United Methodist Church are ready to bring God's love and care into your life through prayer and support.
A Stephen Minister meets with a care receiver on a weekly basis to listen, care, encourage, pray, and provide emotional and spiritual support.
Men are paired with men; women with women.
The Stephen Minister provides one-to-one Christ-centered care.
These caring relationships are confidential.
To request a Stephen Minister, call the church office at 281-492-8031 and ask for Pastor Christie Walker or email her at cwalker@stpkaty.org.
If you are a compassionate person, are willing to learn care giving skills and have time each week to offer care to a person needing
emotional and spiritual support, prayerfully consider becoming a Stephen Minister.
For more information on becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact Pastor Christie Walker at the church office 281-492-8031 or our Stephen Ministry Training Coordinator, Phillip Arnoldy at arnoldypw@yahoo.com for dates of the information meetings and training.
