Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who provide confidential, one-to-one care to people experiencing grief, divorce, infertility, loneliness, job loss, hospitalization, loss of a loved one, or any other life difficulty. Each Stephen Minister receives 50+ hours of training so he or she can provide the best possible Christian care to those who are hurting. Some of the 22 topics covered include:

  • Listening
  • Feelings
  • Confidentiality
  • Christian Caregiving
  • Maintaining Boundaries
  • Mental Health Resources

Once equipped, Stephen Ministries are prayerfully matched with a person going through a difficult time in his or her life. A Stephen Minister typically meets with a person once a week for about an hour to listen, care, encourage, and pray. The Stephen Minister brings Christ's presence into the person's life and also experiences Christ in the other person. It is a life-changing experience for both the person receiving care and the Stephen Minister.

Would you like to be part of a ministry that makes a real difference in others' lives when they need it most? Consider becoming a Stephen Minister!
